WUD Film shows FREE movies on the UW-Madison campus in the Marquee Theatre at Union South during fall and spring semester and on the Memorial Union Terrace on Mondays and select Sundays in the summer. The film committee is charged with the task of providing campus with the best and most diverse offering of cinema possible. We are 100% student run. Students handle every aspect of the process inclu

ding decision making, working with distributors, marketing the films, and running the events. We program a variety of films including Hollywood blockbusters, indie gems, foreign flicks, documentaries, avant-garde offerings, cult classics, sneak previews of upcoming studio releases, and almost any other kind of film imaginable. The best part, all of our screenings are FREE. To see a list of upcoming titles, please visit our website. If you love movies and would like to help pick which ones get shown at the Wisconsin Union, the film committee is always looking for new members. Membership is open to all students, both undergraduates and graduates, and you do not need to be a film buff or film major to join. We have a lot of fun discussing possible titles and choosing the best ones, and we would love it if you stopped by during one of our meetings (every Monday at 6:00 PM, Union South, check TITU for room).

Because the gods of hurricanes, makers of thunder and lightning and majestical waves are kicking up some challenging winds that might do battle with our screen, tonight's showing of AQUAMARINE (2006) is moving indoors to der Rathskeller at 9pm.

Our Lakeside Cinema screening of CHALLENGERS (2024) is continuing as planned for this evening (Monday, June 29 @ 9pm).
