MUSK

The Oscar-winning documentarian Alex Gibney delivers his most ambitious and epic work in exploring the history of the world’s richest man, Elon Musk.

Elon Musk has amassed so much power, he’s like a character in a Marvel comic book. A short recap of his handiwork: Tesla popularized electric vehicles; Starlink expanded the reach of the internet; Twitter bowed to his takeover; and DOGE radically transformed the US government. Musk has been at the centre of AI development and this past summer, the IPO for SpaceX made him the richest man in the world. His influence arguably touches everyone on the planet. Surely this is worth fresh scrutiny.

After nearly four years of work, Oscar-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney delivers his most ambitious and epic documentary, seeking to understand the history and motivations of the ultimate tech bro. When this film was first announced, Musk immediately denounced it on Twitter and refused to participate. But that didn’t impede Gibney, who draws upon countless hours of interviews that Musk has given over the years. Even more revealingly, Gibney conducts new interviews with figures who have known Musk up close and personal, including the mogul’s father, Errol Musk.
The news cycle moves so fast, it’s hard to remember that Musk was once at home among liberals, with his companies promoting clean energy and invoicing the Obama administration for hundreds of millions in tech contracts. What drove him into the world of Donald Trump?

Musk frequently invokes science fiction stories and has coyly wondered aloud if we’re living in a video game–like simulation. Playing off this idea, Gibney leans visually into an innovative graphic treatment throughout the film. But make no mistake: this is really happening.

The Misanthrope

Award-winner Sandra Oh (Killing Eve) plays the title role in this razor-sharp reimagining of Molière’s classic dark comedy.
Telling the truth isn’t always that simple. Alice, a brilliant novelist, despises the carefully constructed lies of modern society. But the more she challenges those around her, the fiercer the backlash becomes. Soon, she must confront the price of speaking her truth in a world that would rather silence her.
Filmed live on stage at the National Theatre, Indhu Rubasingham directs Martin Crimp’s (Cyrano de Bergerac) highly anticipated play.

Passes, Gift Cards and Value Cards are not accepted for this Special Event. All tickets are $20.00 and may be purchased at the Avon Cinema box office starting 2 weeks before the event

✨STARTS FRIDAY✨
September 18th - September 24th

The Cycle of Love

Shown Daily at 4:15

The Cycle of Love is an inspiring, heart-warming, epic true-life adventure from Executive Producer, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Oscar-winning director, Orlando Von Einsiedel about self-belief, destiny, the courage to risk everything for love, and the power of human connection.

In 1977, PK, a 23-year-old Delhi street artist from a poor, ‘untouchable’ family, picked up a handful of paintbrushes and a second-hand bicycle and sets off on a 6000-mile cross-continent mission - to find Lotta, the woman who had captured his heart. A love story like no other, THE CYCLE OF LOVE is an inspiring, heart-warming, epic true-life adventure about the search for self-belief and risking everything for what your heart tells you.

Directed by Orlando von Einsiedel

🎭National Theatre Live🎭

MONDAY, September 14th, 2026 AT 6:30PM

BROUGHT BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!

Fleabag

Fleabag may seem oversexed, emotionally unfiltered and self-obsessed, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. With family and friendships under strain and a guinea pig café struggling to keep afloat, Fleabag suddenly finds herself with nothing to lose.

Written and performed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (FLEABAG, KILLING EVE) and directed by Vicky Jones, Fleabag is a rip-roaring look at some sort of woman living her sort of life. Following a box-office record-breaking run in cinemas in 2019, the one-woman show returns to cinemas to the big screen.

The hilarious, award-winning play that inspired the BBC’s hit TV series Fleabag, was filmed live on stage in London’s West End in 2019.

Passes, Gift Cards and Value Cards are not accepted for this Special Event. All tickets are $20.00 and may be purchased at the Avon Cinema box office starting 2 weeks before the event
